Leaning blue electoral college votes are moving tossup. Romney still can't seem to move tossups red

Electoral College opinion map weekly update

The average of 22 online Electoral College opinion maps is currently:
Obama 235 -8
Romney 196 unchanged
Tossups 107 +8

Based on the movement of the averages of the Electoral College opinion maps, it appears that Romney has stopped what looked to be breakout momentum of the Obama campaign in early August. On August 13, the average number of votes assigned to Obama was 255, 20 of which have since moved to the tossup category.

Does this report get you down? Just think about the electoral college challenge that Romney has in capturing 74 of the 107 tossup votes.

Don't get hung up on them right now. Give it a few weeks and then see where we are.

Rmoney will get a convention bump. So will Obama. The debates will shift things maybe a point or two one way, then the other. I think the electorate is so polarized and set (like 2004) that it will all come down to GOTV.

Yes, I'm a moderate Democrat, voted for Obama last time and will vote for Obama this time. Successfully led Obama campaign in my voting precinct and became Democratic precinct captain for the general election and won for Obama in a traditionally Republican precinct. (Although in Texas did not matter, except that local down ballot folks got elected.)

Now, I have an idea. Let's purge all moderates from the Democratic party. Then we can be just like the Republicans, trying desparately to compete for independent, moderate votes.

.electoral-vote.com (today).

With today's two Florida polls, you can, probably, add 29 electoral votes to it on the Obama side
