Was chosen by the PTB in Ohio because he "looked like a President"; since he had no clue how to actually be one, his handlers put all their cronies in the Cabinet, all of whom used their newfound influence to line their pockets. He also had a wife who enjoyed the power and fame.
Harding's presidency will be remembered for his incompetency and many scandals.
