Hillary hops on carbon-spewing private Learjet after winning endorsement from environmental group

Clinton boarded a Learjet model 60 private jet in Lebanon, New Hampshire after 2 days of campaigning – a plane that emits 2 TONS of carbon per hour.

The League of Conservation voters gave her an unusually early endorsement on Monday during the same campaign trip
The group says its 'top priority is addressing climate change'

Clinton's campaign pledged in July to go 'carbon neutral,' after a DailyMail video showed her boarding a private jet following a global warming speech

The campaign hasn't outlined any steps it's taken since then toward achieving that goal

However I doubt he could do so with the size of entourage Clinton likely has.

I don't fault Clinton for this though, it is a logistical and practical matter. Right now...flying via petro is what we do.

Perhaps they could make special efforts to use jet fuel made from algae or biodiesel or something... I am not really sure but I think I have heard of certain technologies like this.

However, for all the things Clinton does, I can't really hold this against her... for now, it is probably just a practical issue that she doesn't even decide on... I am sure she has a logistics team.

I don't think it has much to do with 1%. That's the kind of made up shit the Republican mouthpieces throw out there as red meat to their voters. The Republicans attacked Michelle Obama for the same thing and most people here on DU defended Michelle Obama against those shitty Republican attacks.

But those who hate Hillary embrace those Republican attacks. No amount of one liners is going to keep people from seeing these tactics embraced by some DUers.

HRC taking "a cheap commercial flight" would inconvenience thousands of travelers - but then there could be a dozen OPs about how that selfish 1%er created havoc at two airports today because she was too cheap to get her own plane, and instead chose to let the "little people" suffer delays and/or missed flights due to the chaos she created.

Meet the Fossil Fuel Lobbyists Raising Money for Hillary Clinton

Nearly all of the lobbyists bundling contributions for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's campaign have at one time or another worked for the fossil fuel industry.

The issue of campaign donations from fossil fuel interests has become a topic in the Democratic Party primary, as both Sen. Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley have pledged they will not accept contributions from oil, gas or coal companies. Clinton has not signed that pledge.

The more she flies, the more profits for her donors.
