Am I correct in saying that he is placing huge emphasis on Iowa, over that of many other place, or am I way off base? It seems to me while reading about O'Malley that his endorsements and work in Iowa are really going to sneak up and bite some people in the asses. It seems he has a ground game there, where he is pretty soft in other regions.

...Iowa just happens to suit his necessary brand of retail politics. New Hampshire is similar, on a larger scale.

His Iowa campaign has been brilliant, from his early work campaigning for local pols, to his dedication visiting literally every county in the state.

It's not an untested strategy, looking for a first or second-place finish in Iowa to give him leverage in subsequent contests.
