Not to mention Hillary also pimped Bush's lies about Saddam in order to promote the war:

In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members...

It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well, effects American security.

This is a very difficult vote, this is probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Any vote that might lead to war should be hard, but I cast it with conviction.

He's not a total dove, no. But on a scale with Clinton he's much farther towards that.

And if you're supporting Clinton, you are totally in favor of hawkishness.

No one has said Sanders is a dove. We have said that he is moderate. We have said he follows the rule of law including the UN. We have said that he is thoughtful in his choices of military action. He has never done so for political expediency. He was capable like a few others and a lot of us the people to see that Iraq was an inappropriate target. He was wise enough to see what the consequences would be.

For someone without a history of military service, I respect his ability to think rationally and act justly before committing to military intervention.

Clinton is the very definition of a hawk. She voted for the Iraq War and wanting to attack Iran. She is the person who exclaimed,
we came, we saw, he died' and then giggled. That is not a person who should wield the military power of the US. She has lied now twice about military related things. If she was a man, she would be gone from the political stage for stolen valor. She was Annie fucking Oakley about guns in 2008 and now the champion of extreme gun control in 2016.

The author is an extreme critic of the whole enchilada of American foreign policy and the "Deep State." Which is fine with me because I agree with much of what he has to say in a larger sense.

But if he is critical of Sanders in not going not far enough.....well he's got some really nice barbs for Clinton for buying into and actively suipporting the systenm that he says Sanders is too easy on:

"But neither will Clinton’s righteous faith in spreading neoliberal ideology across the planet, her stacked-deck idea of humanitarian intervention, a liking for military solutions in foreign affairs that sometimes puts her closer to Republican candidates than to her boss when she was secretary of state. Whatever Clinton wants us to know or not know about her thinking, exceptionalist consciousness is inscribed in every sentence she utters.

What have we got on the Democratic side? A candidate smart enough to understand that were he to propose an authentically progressive foreign policy agenda he would be mauled for the positions it would logically include? Another candidate who is very likely more at home in the deep state than anyone else from either party? It is hard to say, but maybe.

I got off Hillary’s bus long ago. Anyone remember November 1999, when, as first lady, she traveled to the West Bank, where she lunched and exchanged ceremonial praises with Suha Arafat, the late Yasser’s wife? On departing she kissed Suha Arafat on the cheek—a kiss of Judas straight out of Matthew, for when Clinton arrived in Jerusalem to shrieks of protest, she thought nothing of denouncing Arafat and effectively denying the gesture of friendship made a matter of hours earlier.

Unforgivable, but that is Hillary. Opportunism incarnate is all I see. To be honest, until Sanders announced his candidacy I could not think of a single reason to vote. We were offered no choice.
