representing us all with a 'we're all in this together' philosophy than some joker who claims he is saved and then doesn't want to use tax money to help the poor.

'that is a very personal question that has no place in politics' is beyond me. And they all come across as FAKE when they rush to be the most religious candidate EVER for some reason.

Who made this rule? Thank YOU again Bernie for refusing to respond to such a question. Kind of reminds me of the loyalty oaths people around here seem to feel they have a right to demand.

Good for O'Donnell for giving Bernie the last word on that. It's sickening to watch them all pretending to be religious for what reason? Who made this rule? And how cowardly of them all for pandering to the bullies who demand that this be part of our political dialogue when it should have NO place in politics at all.

I received permission from Gloria to share her comment:

Gloria Valoris "Lawrence gets props also for pointing this out. Bernie has taken pretty clear stances in favor of the separation of church and state. I think Bernie's statement is the best statement of what a religious person should care about and do. If you call yourself a Christian and do nothing to help others in need, you are just blowing smoke and fooling yourself."
