Bush's Iraq War - Could Hillary's Leadership Have Prevented It?

As a former First Lady and New York State Senator, could she have used her capital hill credentials and husband's former influence to stop the Iraq War?

Obviously neither Barack Obama or Bernie Sanders were able to do so; one is currently an incredibly successful President, and the other is a legitimate candidate for the same office.

Is the question of her influence as a "junior" Senator who undoubtedly had knowledge of foreign policy issues while in her former role, and the ability to have dinner discussions with a former President/husband a fair one?

Thoughts welcome.

Please discuss politely. (My attention to thread will be sporadic due to family obligations.)

Thank you in advance.

But she didn't. And that is probably why she isn't president today: Because she didn't even try.

Maybe Hillary could have been of influence there.

But the ship has long sailed when she hopped aboard with her Senate vote.
