Hillary proposes "embedding" US troops in Iraq and increasing US troops in Syria.

Escalation and expansion of US involvement. She wants to creep the mission before she's won a single primary.

Let me get out in front of this idiocy. No troops in Iraq or Syria.

American troops on the ground, then the first ground troops killed, which provokes more outrage, and then escalation. The first American beheaded gets Repubs promoting to nuke them, and then mistakes get made, war crimes out of vengeance.

Just thought after the Iraq War we'd seen enough of this crap for 20-30 years.

and here's how they're going to pay for it.

1. Cut entitlements.
2. A national gas tax increase because poor folks don't mind paying a higher percentage of their income on taxes than wealthy people do.
3. Debt increase
4. A tax cut for the wealthy because that will stimulate the economy
5. And then they'll be somebody try to advocate patriotic war bonds.

Don't like the way this is being played out politically.

we have to WIN!!" escalation, until we have Camp Whatever over here and Camp Whozit over there, and contractors building facilities and providing services, and billions going to whatever government we can prop up, and pallets of cash going to pay bribes for a new "Sunni Awakening" (I fully expect to see that assclown Petraeus again, with Hillary), and so on... I don't see any way off this train. But this time, it will go better, and she and the neocons will reap the glory of a war done right!!! At least that's the plan.

but the Iraqi national army has struggled, and it’s going to take more work to get it up to fighting shape. As part of that process, we may have to give our own troops advising and training the Iraqis greater freedom of movement and flexibility, including embedding in local units and helping target airstrikes.

Eric Fehrnstrom is a former journalist and political consultant who was a top aide to 2012 U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Fehrnstrom was the strategist to US Senator Scott Brown who was responsible for the ads that propelled him to victory in the 2010 Special Election to succeed Ted Kennedy,
