Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton met with the mother and father of Darrius Stewart while she visited Memphis on Friday.

The Stewart family is reeling after their son was killed during a traffic stop. They spoke exclusively with WMC Action News 5. Hear what they had to say about meeting the former secretary of state tonight at 6.

During Clinton's speech the crowd even chanted Darrius Stewart's name.

"I am well aware of the Stewart case and the cases across our country," Clinton said. "I have met with the mothers of so many of the young people who have died both because of police action and because of gun violence and we need to tackle both."

Clinton made first campaign stop in Tennessee on Friday, November 20. That comes nearly four months ahead of the Tennessee primary.

During the event, the Democratic frontrunner explained why she is running and who and what she will fight for as president.

The event happened at LeMoyne-Owen College at C. Arthur Bruce-Jerry C. Johnson Hall located at 807 Walker Avenue........................

So she can not in all fairness have an open crowd like Bernie can since she was a first lady and still has that level of protection.

She has to pick venues that are smaller in size and more closed off.
