Her staff watched her closely and we all know how she had trouble remembering her trip to Bosnia blaming sleep deprivation.....

Mrs. Clinton, 65, was admitted to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia hospital on Sunday after a scan discovered the blood clot. The scan was part of her follow-up care for a concussion she sustained more than two weeks earlier, when she fainted and fell, striking her head. According to the State Department, the fainting was caused by dehydration, brought on by a stomach virus. The concussion was diagnosed on Dec. 13, though the fall had occurred earlier that week.

Never mind rejoicing the death of Gaddafi
There may be more to HRC's issues than meets the eye.....

(30,058 posts)What this post concerned about her concussion after she has released her medical records. I know Karl Rove wanted to push this but judging from her eleven hour testimony recently what gives you so much concern?

BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)If he hasn't, why not? Hillary Clinton has already done so, so this OP is merely a defense tactic to deflect from Sanders having to go in for surgery. But I'm real curious now why Sanders hasn't released his medical records. Aren't you?
MrMickeysMom
(20,453 posts)Can't you see that?
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)because Sanders had to go to the hospital today for an operation.
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)It will not affect him any in the future weeks months years.
Try again.
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)He's yet to release them. Why would that be?
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)Nothing in his pasts suggests that he had had any serious medical issues, unlike Mrs. Clinton.
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)Nothing in his pasts suggests that he had had any serious medical issues, unlike Mrs. Clinton.
Or so you say, but you're just guessing. LET'S SEE HIS MEDICAL RECORDS.
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)Unlike Mrs Clinton!!!
I am worried about her. With a blood clot history, having to fly all around the world, for the next 4 to 8 years??
Sanders has none of these issues. How long has be been a senator?? He's up and about every day.
You should look at the facts objectively.
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)So you're just guessing (hoping?) that he hasn't had any serious health issues.
Unlike Mrs Clinton!!!
She's released her medical records AND she kicked GOP butt at the umpteenth BANGHAZI
I worry about Bernie. I'm wondering why he hasn't released his medical records. Is his staff hiding something? Oversight?
That, dear darkangel, is thinking objectively.
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)Hillary's health problem should concern you , not Bernie's. A history of life thrreatning blood clots is nothing to minimize, much less ignore.
And btw, didn't you start the OP about Bernie's elective surgery?? I'm pretty sure it was you, unless I'm wrong.
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)speculation about his health gets out of hand - as we're now seeing at DU.
A history of life thrreatning blood clots is nothing to minimize, much less ignore.
People shouldn't also ignore she got a clean bill of health, thanks to her releasing her medical records.
And btw, didn't you start the OP about Bernie's elective surgery?? I'm pretty sure it was you, unless I'm wrong.
No.
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)And sorry about the confusion. OP about Bernie's procedure was started by another "cali' poster.
Are you going after Martin O'Malley too?
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)No? So why again does that matter in this discussion unless it's to deflect?
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)It is nothing that would carry any consequences in the future!!! It's a simple procedure which is performed lapparascoplically most of the time.
It can't even be compared with the history of blood clots that Hillary has. Not even close.
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)He might be suffering other ailments that are far more serious than blood clots or hypothyroidism (the latter easily treated with OTC pure iodine, by the way).
Unless and until he releases his health records, we have every right to question if he's healthy enough to be POTUS, and those who are not already 100% in the tank for him, will.
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)Where is your proof you're questioning O'Malley health status too?? Link me to your past posts please!
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)And, no, I'm not going to veer off into a discussion about O'Malley since his health and lack of health records are NOT at issue here. But nice try.
Cali_Democrat
(30,439 posts)Bernie has yet to do that.
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)Cali_Democrat
(30,439 posts)I'm sure he will be pressured to do so.
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)But since Hillary Clinton has released her health records back in July, why hasn't Sanders released his health records? What is he waiting for?
Kentonio
(4,377 posts)You're starting to sound like a birther. The op is bad enough. How about we do something wild and crazy like debate the candidates on their positions instead of this crap?
BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)health condition of our future president is very important to the vast majority of voters. It will make or break his/her chances, no matter how wonderful their policy ideas sound.
Sanders has yet to release his health records while Hillary Clinton had done so back in July. She's shown hers, when will he show his? Or are we just to assume he's in excellent health? Isn't hopeful assumption the very foundation of the birther argument and resulting movement?
So don't be throwing them birther stones when you're the one standing in a glass house.

(13,985 posts)Bernie had a minimally invasive procedure, nothing that it would affect his life or job as POTUS in the future.

BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)Bernie had a minimally invasive procedure, nothing that it would affect his life or job as POTUS in the future.
I'll repeat...we don't know that. It's just guessing (wishful thinking?). Until he releases his health records, I'm not going to just have faith that he's healthy enough to be POTUS. Be honest...were the tables turned, you'd be demanding that Hillary Clinton release her health records, so why this special benefit-of-the-doubt for Bernie Sanders?
A history of blood clots on the other hand, is a whole different issues.
If that really concerns you, then you might concern that Sanders is suffering something like that, too. At his high age, there's bound to be health issues that might affect his job as POTUS, but we don't know for sure because he hasn't released his health records.
On this, Sanders is clearly losing, and up until he releases his health record, it's going to get worse.
As a reminder, Hillary Clinton released her health records at the end of July this year. Why hasn't Sanders followed her lead?
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)If Sanders was suffering from anything close to that, we would have known by now.
He's not a newcomer, he's been a senator for a long time.

BlueCaliDem
(15,438 posts)If Sanders was suffering from anything close to that, we would have known by now.
Why? There was no need for him to make his health records public as Rep and then Senator of Vermont. He's never run for president before where it is necessary. So that's not a strong excuse.
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)The OP would have never happened, if HRC supporters had not starred their attacks against Bernie to begin with.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
This is completely inappropriate for DU. This is getting pathetic. Grow the fuck up and discuss actual issues. This divisive bullshit is making DU suck more than it ever has.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Mon Nov 30, 2015, 06:40 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: How is it inappropriate?? There was just an OP questioning Bernie's health. How is this post more inappropriate than the other???!
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Not hide worthy. Sorry, discuss it as we are below in the thread.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Completely inappropriate and irrelevant.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: A candidate's health issues have been fair game since at least 1960. The first public mention of JFK's Addison's disease came at the 1960 Democratic convention. Given that Wilson had a debilitating stroke in office and Ike suffered two heart attacks during his time, a candidate's health is an "actual issue."
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(30,058 posts)Than the others do on their best day. Hillary would be one who functions better on her worse day, take it to the bank she testified eleven hours and did quiet well in her two debates. If you are worried ask Sanders and O'Malley if she was functioning well in the debates, neither got one up on her.

(10,274 posts)It was more being giddy at the fall of the Libyan leader. They ran a program to overthrow him and it was successful.
Libya went from being one of the most successful states in Africa, a leader in financing African projects to being a wasted basket case, a still warring divided failed state.

Today Africa is once again dependent on western financing and the US military has scores of bases on the continent. #KONEY2012, #SAVEOURGIRLS, and #EBOLA all resulted in deployments of US troops to Uganda, Chad and Liberia.

(7,661 posts)When the Libyan arm of the Islamic State first raised the groups black flag over the coastal city of Surt almost one year ago, it was just a bunch of local militants trying to look tough.
Today Surt is an actively managed colony of the central Islamic State, crowded with foreign fighters from around the region, according to residents, local militia leaders and hostages recently released from the citys main prison.
The entire Islamic State government there is from abroad they are the ones who are calling the shots, said Nuri al-Mangoush, the head of a trucking company based here in Misurata, about 65 miles west of the Islamic States territory around Surt. Many of its employees live in Surt, and five were jailed there recently.
