(31,849 posts)I've only been following Hip Hop since it was called "Rap".

(15,805 posts)I'd like to see Sanders getting the more important party endorsements from Dem superdelegates who will actually select the nominee. Even a top tier celebrity "endorsement" doesn't exactly move the needle or get a candidate any closer to the nomination. Assuming this person must have some fans, maybe it's newsworthy if he's going to be actively working to convince them to vote for Sanders now.

(42,862 posts)But, I can understand how Bernie's fans would be overjoyed with an endorsement from this "legend". Heaven knows, when you consider how dismal his current list of endorsements is looking, he definitely needs SOMETHING to crow about, even if it's just a celebrity endorsement.

Two of his albums were #1 in R&B and Rap and all of them have been in top 5. Overall in US, he had his first 3 albums were in the top 10.

(31,849 posts)Well, I guess that title might vary; but, he's not in my top 30 of socially conscious/activist Hip Hop artists ... and not in my top 50, in terms of his body of work.

(900 posts)Bun B is in my top 50 and he is legend to the game to me

(31,849 posts)As I said, the Legend title, varies.
But for me, it has nothing to do with a political endorsement.

(24,544 posts)stuff would become a thing here about a week or two after the first polls came out that showed that Hillary had somewhere along the lines of 80% support from black voters. Yep, I posted about this in July

I noted that folks better get ready for a DELUGE of "endorsements" from every black or brown person that endorsed Sanders. That no endorsement would be too small or insignificant. And that folks here would say that the 6 black endorsements for Sanders would somehow hold the same weight if not, somehow actually MORE weight than the God only knows how many endorsements Hillary has gotten from minorities.
And GDP has certainly not let me down in that regard.
