Fundies tend to dislike Mormons and catholics, often calling them cults.

But how does that help sanatorium over rmoney. One is Mormon, the other catholic.

5 reasons.

1) Two person race (Ron Paul is a side-show, Gingrich is no on the ballot to split non-Romney vote)

2) Closed Primary (No moderates to help Romney)

3) No Romney Attack adds ( Romney was down big in IA and FL. He rebounded to win both only because he had more money than anyone else. This type of campaign was not run in MO, and so the original vote pattern stood in place.)

3) Romney has won in 3 places (NH-Home State, FL-Moderate State, NV-Mormon State) He has been no stronger than anyone else in all other contests. From an objective standpoint there is no evidence that he runs well in any state where he has not had a significant home field advantage. (Remember even in NV, where he won 50% of the vote, about 25% of everyone who voted was Mormon.)

4) To be honest, I'm still unclear as to what really counts and what doesn't. Intensity is really low

5) I think Mitt Romney took a lot of what was suppose to happen tonight for granted. It looks like even Colorado will be closer than expected.

Mittens is not showing a lot of strength in the midwest.

2008...Mike Chuckleberry eeks out a win in Opted and then crushes in Missouri. Samtorum is the 2012 Christian-right Chuckleberry. It could end there...but, add to that the fact that Mitt the Magnanimous will never newer allowed to secure the nomination...and it's more than understandable how & why this happened.

13. Missouri's Primary Election Begins

This year's primary does not actually count towards deciding Missouri's Republican delegates. Missouri switched to a caucus that will be held in March. The caucus will determine Missouri's official candidate choice.

It costs the State of Missouri millions anyway.

why he didn't beat Noot in South Carolina. I figured that SC was the place where the anti-Mitt would go from being Santorum to Gingrich, but it seems to be that SC (and FL, to an extent) were anomolies. It seems rational that Santorum would be far more acceptable to anti-Mitt voters than Gingrich, but I guess Noot held his own for a couple of contests.

Maybe Gingrich looked too weak and desperate before and after Florida to impress anybody that he was anything but a loser.

Bonus points for the homemade signs people stick on their land along the interstates. Double bonus points for fetus pictures in any of the signs. Triple bonus for signs within 1 mile of a super duper XXX porn store.

Everyone I know personally in MO is liberal. But they have to put up with a very vocal evangelical population.

its a few things, because many in my part of MO(SW MO) think Mitt is too liberal, that Mormon's are heathens(or polygamists). I was shocked that the state voted so heavily for Santorum though, I figured a lot would go for Ron Paul. In my county I see a ton of RP signs.
