(114,904 posts)You realize that Bernie is far more popular than those on the list, right? Oh, and yes, Hillary supporters here have said she'll win Vermont.
Alfresco
(1,698 posts)Popularity is debatable without data.
Those on the list know Bernie best and are supporting Hillary. Why is that?
cali
(114,904 posts)And wrong. Btw, Leahy endorsed hilly long before Bernie announced. I can tell you why most on that list endorsed her. It has zip to do with thinking poorly of Bernie. Some are longtime allies of Hillary's, some are going it out of political opportunism like our unpopular Guv who is hoping for a political appointment.
I know the players and I know my state.

(1,698 posts)People from around the country will question why Bernie has so little support from his senate colleagues and the leaders from his home state. It's really not that hard to figure out. What exactly was I wrong about?
cali
(114,904 posts)are not from Vermont. Not on DU and not in the real world. The approval rating of Congress is abysmal. Oh, and he has quite a bit of support from state senators and house members.
Those on the list are largely supporting Hillary because they believe she'll be the nominee. They're right.

If she's for HRC, it has to be over for Bernie.

(146,325 posts)that people who like the Burton Snowboards FB page much care about this endorsement. Despite most of them being millennials, the comments there appear to be more about their sport than anything else.
Odds are they don't even know that the endorsement happened. It's Winter, after all, and the snow lays on the ground.

(114,904 posts)For sure true of Shumlin and Weinberger. As for Stetson, she's the ultimate establishment insider, nee Jane Watson, of the IBM Watson's. I went to Country Day with her. I give her credit though for becoming a dem.

(8,647 posts)I heard there is a wife of a former Burlington mayor who might endorse him. I forget her name, though.
Btw, quite a few state senators have endorsed Bernie and members of the Vermont House.
"I may have her name in an old shoebox at the back of the upper left hand drawer of the bureau. I really don't remember." Dawn Davenport, 'Female Trouble.'

(16,973 posts)It does make you wonder why people in leadership roles who know him best REFUSE to endorse him.
