https://www.facebook.com/sybrinadfulton/Many have gone to her page to post ugly comments after her endorsement of Hillary Clinton. As a reminder, she is the mother of Trayvon Martin. She needs positive messages to offset the ugliness. After reading many of the posts to her, I felt I had to comment. I have posted this in another thread on the subject, but have decided to make an OP of it, as well.
Here's what I posted on her Facebook page:
I encourage you to ignore the hateful messages you are seeing here. People who write such things are despicable. I understand why you are endorsing Hillary Clinton, and know you will be rewarded by her speech at the Inauguration next January. Thank you for your courage.
Note: I do not try very hard to be anonymous on the Internet, so I don't mind posting exactly what I said on her page. My own page is closed to comments from anyone but my FB friends.

(12,530 posts)As I'm sure you're aware, there's a thread with ~120 responses, many of which decry Sanders supporters for attacking Ms. Fulton. I saw a single instance of what looked like a Sanders supporter being a real asshole. Everything else I've seen from Sanders supporters is along the lines of "I respectfully disagree because xxxx...". I do see some Republicans, some awfully nasty people that strike me as Trump voting types attacking the woman. But people like that are not Sanders voters. So I just wanted to take a second to say that I appreciate you not conflating these different groups of people, as they've so adeptly done in the other thread.

(146,324 posts)to attack her are despicable. I don't care who they support. When people cannot voice their support for a candidate for President without being attacked in public, things are screwed up badly.
I read through most of the comments on her FB page. It took quite some time to do so. I'm not characterizing any of them. Anyone can pretend to be anyone they want on the Internet. I'm condemning the ugly comments, regardless of their source. I leave the identifications of those despicable people to others.
My goal was to express support for her right to endorse anyone she chooses in a free society. Nobody should be attacked for doing that. Ever.
