i like this because it is a cnn article and it has to be said out loud, before it is even thought about.
i felt a real, out loud voice of women this last year. this is another example, for me.

She was my fave agent of them all. Christine Dale was pretty ruthless, too, but Ros was the best.
Also, she dressed the part, jeans & sensible shoes. The new female agent they got recently wears heels! How is she going to run down the bad guys wearing heels? 
A possibly more obscure cultural reference. At least we'd be assured of technological security.
If you told me 2 years ago that I would be pursuing a Masters in Public Administration with a focus in Homeland Security after 15 years of progressive advancement in the Marketing/Product Management zone . . . I would have told you - seabeyond - you are nuts! 
I have an interesting position in a multi-national corp that leverages my Mass Communicats/Poli Sci degrees (weds them in a way) . . . I've had several FBI and Homeland Security Liasons (folks who pushed me to pursue the P.A. degree) tell me - Women look at these situations different/nuance. Add being a high creative to that mix - and there is a lot of room for women in that circle of the Federal Government. It's really about getting the right 'degree/education' to open those doors. So I know from a Secretary of State function (liason with them from a CBP/Import/Export prior to items hitting our interstate system) - They are already suggesting (wink wink) recruiting women this field of work from Corporate America.
Now . . . Hot to get younger women to consider the opportunities and how they can leverage their natural talents in service - as opposed to Finance and Marketing. Tough - because certainly in my field (Technology) Marketing has been extremely kind to me financially. My Finance role too - but I got to this point via my Marketing background.
