I just got rape spam

Women all across the world are PISSED OFF because this shocking
new video shows regular guys how to get any girl into bed in 15 minutes
or less…

Watch The Video <----------

After you watch this video (which won't be online long) and use the secret,
you'll be know how to get women turned on, attracted to you, and wanting
to bang you...

FAST

The best part about the video is that what you are going to learn is 100%
rejection proof.

Which means that if you've ever failed before with women because you
were scared they'd shoot you down…

Those days are over

Simply watch the video….apply the method….and get her in your bed.

I didn't include the video link because it may have a virus or something. Nor did I watch it. Consider just the content of the email. What method of getting "any girl into bed in 15 minutes" is actually "100% rejection proof"? Answer: Rape. If a man doesn't seek consent, he can't be rejected.

Links like that pop up around facebook and in emails a LOT. Different variations (replace women with money, or job, or whiten your teeth), all of them are virii, most of them claim something absurd like "in 15 minutes". If you click it, there is NO video. Instead, you have a shit-ton of malware on your system, and your system becomes part of the botnet, spreading the same spam.

This is not so much about rape, as it is about taking over your computer to spread virii and malware.

I believe that demographic would be the socially awkward. The nerdy guys who have no idea how to talk to a woman. And it does say "makes women want you", so that would IMPLY consent. I saw one that said "One simple trick to whiten your teeth in 15 minutes discovered by a mom and making dentists angry". It tricks you into clicking, then boom. You're computer is spamming it up. No video, no info, just a whole lot of work clearing the mess out of your system.

Anything that promises ANY unrealistic goal, I tend NOT to click on.

I fix the computer at work when it gets fucked up. My boss clicks on damn near EVERY link in his email. I've caught him watching really weird spam videos that promise unrealistic effects from a "natural" pill, that is nothing more than a glorified multi-vitamin that costs $150/bottle, to clicking links promising a great return on investment. What's funny is when the computer stops working, everyone blames me.

I don't use a virus scanner on my PC (and there's no reason to on my Mac). I haven't had a virus in damn near 4 years, and the last one of those I had was from a malicious advertisement that a reputable site I used to frequent ended up with (their ad-server let something bad slip through). Since then, I use the Ad-Block plugin for FireFox. I haven't seen an ad on any site in a LONG time.

There are plenty of socially awkward nerds who are interested in women as people, and not sex objects. People who want whiter teeth or more money aren't dehumanizing people. The depiction of women as objects is not like selling teeth whitening systems or money making schemes. That analogy is offensive.

The same people who made the "sleep with women" scam made the "whiten teeth" scam. It's not a video, there's no information. It's a virus. Plain and simple.

Also, I have quite a few friends who are what you would call socially awkward nerds (I hang out with a bunch of gamers). If a girl is even NICE to them, they automatically assume she's into them. They have no clue how to speak to women. That is who those scams are targeting. And when they click it, boom! Their computer is fucked up.

I am NOT apologizing for rapists in ANY form. I am, however, telling you what those scams are. Which is just that: a scam.

I view such tangents as unrelated at best, derailing at worst.

The ad portrays women as sex objects whose consent is incidental. That's why it's fucked up.

As for nerds who view women as less than human, I don't really care what their excuse is. Any man who views women's consent as something to be overcome - who views a woman as an object and not a person - is potentially dangerous.

I was just trying to point out the seedy underbelly that is the internet. And to not be shocked when something illegal (distributing virii/malware) could be construed as something illegal.

I also wasn't implying that the "nerds" viewed women as "less than human", but when you're in your 30s and you've never been intimate with a woman, the promise of an easy lay makes you the gullible target to click that link. That is to say, humans are sexual creatures. We all have wants and desires. Some of use just don't understand how to make that happen. Hence, the socially awkward nerds I referenced.

Once again, not trying to argue. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers.

women that are too awkward to talk to men that they have never gotten any? never. cause she is irrelevant. again, this is what we are saying. there will always be those that are awkward of both genders and regardless of that fact, it is always the focus of a man getting his needs met cause HE is a sexual creature after all.

that is only one point. i am sure others will address from different angles cause there is all kinds of wrongs that make up this rape culture that you reinforced.

I'm a bird lover. Ruffled feathers is an expression I use anytime I feel I may have pissed someone off. Not meant to be demeaning.

As far as the 30 year old awkward virgin female? I work with her. Lol. She's 36, very oblivious, and VERY religious. She's nerdy and awkward. A good person, and a good friend.

I said before that EVERYONE is a sexual creature. That's human nature. We procreate for recreation. I'm not defending anyone or anything here, I was just discussing the above topic, and relating them to what I've seen and know. I don't know everyone and all circumstances, however, and I don't purport to.

I do not subscribe in any way, shape, nor form that men are better than women, that women should be subservient, or anything else of that nature. I have a healthy relationship with my fiance (we've been together 6 years), and I teach my daughter to be a strong well adjusted girl. I said it in another post, I think what we're saying to each other is being misconstrued, as I think we agree on the finer points of these things, it's just the way it's being perceived and delivered.

It does rub me the wrong way when something heinous seems to be passed over to address something incidental.

Some people seem not to notice the rape-culture aspect of this. But honestly - what could be 100% rejection proof? Why would women be pissed off about it?

This sick, distorted view of sexuality is part of rape culture. It's important that we recognize it and stop making excuses for it.

Not boys. I'm in my 30s, most of my friends are as well. I have friends who have never been intimate with a woman. I have a female friend who also hangs out with us. She's married. But anytime she has been friendly with some of the other guys, they become obsessed, and don't understand that her being friendly doesn't mean she wants a relationship. It's a conversation we have regularly, and I thought the analogy might fit here. I'm not talking about aggressive or stalking or things like that. But the very much misplaced "I love you" to a girl who gave them a hug when they were down, or spent hours playing a video game together. That sort of social awkwardness...

She's a very vocal feminist. More so as of late, as it seems to have turned the guys off. Gamer geeks can be quite sexist, but are also very timid. A vocal feminist will shut them up real quick like. Like I said, I was just making the analogy.

I have a hard time explaining things over the internet quickly, and I'm too lazy to type a lot. Especially with a nuanced subject like this. I'm sure we're in agreeance on quite a few things here, I'm just putting it out there all wrong.

More than likely it's some PUA garbage advertising a book or a vitamin or pheromones or god knows what, for the low-low price of $49.95. Or just the usual "dress like an idiot and perform negging" advice. I once saw one that advised men to "breathe with their testicles," no shit. I was like "okay, I'll try!" but sadly, it didn't work. i imagine that would have been an experience to never mention to anyone, had it actually worked.

The "pick-up artist" community is certainly creepy and misogynistic - I mean really, how can you be anything but, when your spokesman is Houdini if Houdini dressed like a blaxpoitation film pimp?

But calling it rape... I dunno, there's a leap there between "shitty woman-hating dating advice" and "rape her" - though i'll leave it to others to discuss how big a leap

On edit: Hobbitstein makes a valid point on why to not watch it, yes.

Wed Oct 2, 2013, 01:58 PM
Oct 2013

as in "in 15 minutes, new video shows regular guys how to get any girl into bed".

in truth, i don't think this (obvious scam) copy is meant to appeal to latent rapists, or at least not *solely* to latent rapists.
plenty of normal, reasonable, law-abiding, and respectful people want to be appealing to the opposite sex (or same sex, as the case may be).

i would rather expect quite a lot of people (suckers) to click on the link, expecting the video to be more of a quick course on how to be more appealing, the art of light conversation, how to develop the start of a romantic relationship.

of course, the copy also appeals to rather less decent people (also suckers) who click on the link, hoping it's a video of how to manipulate consent out of someone who probably would later regret it if not press charges. if a politicians says "freedom", "america", and "terrorists", they can manipulate consent out of the people for any war they want (even if the people will later regret it) so people probably figure, or at least enjoy the fantasy, that there are also three magic words that manipulate consent out of any chosen love interest.

mostly what jumps out to me is the scam aspect of this, and i think the "100% rejection proof" is just typical scam oversell. the scam just requires something to entice you to click on their link, so they appeal to male insecurity about genital size, overweight people's insecurity about their waistline, or in this case, horny people who have had their fill of rejection.

the copy is obviously not remotely feminist, but i think it is too much to say it's only about rape, simply because that's not its intent. they don't want to limit their audience. the copy doesn't talk about how to reach a level of intimacy in a mutually respectful romantic relationship where sex is appropriate and welcome, either, because again, they don't want to limit their audience. they want to appeal to decent guys as well as shmucks. the defining characteristic they're interested in is "sucker".
