My avatar disappeared
Now I can't find it in the selections, and when I tried to pick a new one, nothing shows up. Any suggestions?

Your avatar from 'www.democraticunderground.com' looks like this:
When viewing threads, your own avatar is loaded from 'upload.democraticunderground.com', but everyone else's is served up by the domain they are viewing DU on (typically 'www.democraticunderground.com'). This means you can see everyone else's avatar, but not your own. Conversely, they can see your avatar but not theirs.
Once 'upload.democraticunderground.com' is back up, everything should return to normal.
