Thank you for separating the two forums.
There truly needed to be a welcome forum, and you could probably say that Meta was its own forum in the first place. Maybe here, help won't drown.

A lot of DUers have been saying that they want to help make DU a more welcoming place. This is everyone's chance to show that they were serious. 
Waiting to see who will be the first non-admin to post an introduction thread...
For awhile, I had thought that Meta was still somewhat functioning as a Help forum and that for the most part welcoming was happening elsewhere, but over the last few months it's become too toxic. I say this as someone who regularly welcomes new posters who make progressive posts.
