Is there a way to change the time?

Im wondering if there is a way to change the time settings. For instance a post will be in GD with a timestamp of Fri Jul 8, 2016, 08:29 AM. Seeing how its 7:29 here there is a time difference going on. I know other discussion forums have a time setting to sync up with your timezone. Ive look here and cant seem to find one. Is there one, and if not, can one be implemented?

1. Time zone setting is found under My Account > Account tab > Preferences > Time zone
