The DU site is running slow for me

It has been a few different days.
It takes a long time for a page to load.

I don't seem to be having any issues with other websites.

Page loading very slowly.

5. Yep, same here. I click on a post and wait, sometimes 4, 5 or more secs to load especially today.

It's been aggravatingly slow with my PC and Laptop today. I am on a dirt road, way off the internet highway, so I assumed that my ISP was to blame.

Maybe there are a lot of people trying to access DU? It's another big news day, so I'm thinking there are a lot of people who read DU without signing in. What is the total traffic with DU?.....that's a huge indicator on where DU stands in the internet political universe. Would love to know these stats, Graphing total activity would be easy to do and provide user insight on why the site is slowing down.

My experience is that DU can handle heavy traffic days without any issues. This is something new.

9. I agree, DU should flex their muscle on this data.

Would be relatively easy to provide DUers (Star members?) to see site metrics. Gotta believe they've been tracking since they started. And the total daily engagements - since 2001 - would be pretty impressive, IMHO. Lots more people read than the people that actually post.
