I've been logging out and logging back in and reloading DU like crazy, trying to find Latest Threads.

11. On behalf of MIRT, would you consider halting new registrations a few hours during the debates?

We were all astonished to see more than a hundred (or was it 150) new registrations in just over an hour, which if follows the usual percentage of malicious intruders, is going to be pretty overwhelming for some time to come.

13. The high number of registrations is probably because the site was unavailable...

...to people who were not logged in.

I don't think we can halt registrations, because we don't want to completely block people out.

15. You could announce a 2 hour moratorium on memberships

well in advance of the debates - along with an announcement that the site will be unavailable to non-members during the debates. That might solve both issues.

I wanted to see more aggressiveness on the part of the President in the debate. I'm sure cooler heads will prevail, and find he did himself no harm.

I did not mean to take it out on DU.
