About the ignore option
I've never used it. The only posters who have pissed me off that much turned out to be trolls. However, I just found out someone is ignoring me! Little old me!! I'm pretty mild mannered and I don't even post all that much. In fact, I feel pretty invisible around here most of the time so I'm wondering what I could have said to make someone dislike me that much.
Anyway, it occurs to me that there may be more than one. (I just happened to run across a post that said "This poster is ignoring you"
I'm curious now.... how does one know who or how many people are ignoring them?

I have 10 people ignoring me, and it does not bother me at all. You just can't please everyone in this life.
I actually find it kind of amusing. 
I didn't think anyone paid enough attention to me to feel that strongly. I can only figure they have half of DU on ignore.
I do have people ignoring me......I think it's 20. It used to bother me too, but no more. If they really don't like me, then it's better that they cannot see what I write.

or something because I just did what you said and looked at my transparency, and it says zero people have me on ignore. 
And now I can't find the post again! But it said "This DU Member has you on ignore" or something like that in red letters. It must have been a signature or tag-line or whatever you call it. Maybe I'd better go un-ignore that person now, lol. 
I can't remember who the DUer was, but I remember seeing a signature line like that.
Now that the mystery is solved, I feel that I can tell you how cute your initial post is -- made me smile.

with the tag line 'This DU Member has you on Ignore' is Orrex. It caught me by surprise too. But he/she responded to one of my posts, so it's obviously a joke.
that is his signature line, not a feature of the website saying he is ignoring you
he has a bit of a warped sense of humor, that sig line catches me sometimes too, when I haven't been around in a while 
Yes! And I was like, "What did I ever do to piss him off?"

I was confused, too and thinking that person must be extremely sensitive!

I don't have many posts considering how long I've been a member. (Since 2004--almost ten years!) I am also sensitive. (A liberal trait?) I tend to angst each time I post. I think it's just the nature of Internet forums that people are quick to attack. It's the anominity of not talking face to face. Kind of like how people are such a-holes in their cars.
