(8,543 posts)You're talking about the Pic Of The Moment feature of DU3 (correct me if I'm wrong). Currently it is this image:
If the next thing below that graphic is a link to Twitter labeled Follow @demunderground and then a heading with a red background called TRENDING NOW then you're not missing anything. I think it's just your browser's rending of elements making it look like the graphic is covering items.
When the page loads your browser will display the content as it sees it in the HTML source. The picture is near the top in the source followed by the Twitter link and Trending Now section. If that image isn't in your browser's cache when it loads the page, your browser won't know how tall it is and therefore not give it any space on the page until it retrieves the image from the DU servers and can determine how much room to make for it - which means the Twitter link and Trending Now section will be rendered at the top of the column and then when the image is fully loaded, it will be placed at the top of the column and move everything else down in order to make room for it. Depending on how fast or slow your browser does this, it may give the appearance of the picture covering up the content instead of just moving it down.
At least that is what I think it happening - if you see the Twitter link and the Trending Now section below the Pic Of The Moment in that column, you're not missing any content.

(3,864 posts)sorry, I can't follow all of yr explanation - however, I did get the part where you say
"if you see the Twitter link and the Trending Now section below the Pic Of The Moment in that column, you're not missing any content."-
this is the case.
so I'm not missing anything. I thot it might be something like that, wanted to be sure.
thanks!
