Turns out guns do kill people

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/7709884

Repost from GD. I thought this was an enlightening article but it belongs in here.and not in general discussion. If we start letting one story in it seems to create a landslide of similar and oppositional agendas so I understand the need to keep it in a group.

boring and repetitive NRA lovers insisting they are not and pleadingto be believed - I grew weary of dozens of the swarm, assigned them all to Full Ignore....it is much better now without the background noise of utter gun-loving madness.

I've long been concerned that the NRA has suppressed meaningful compilation of statistics by the CDC to repress meaningful relevant facts from informing the public.

I can see that even it its big current news it causes a contagion of article wars in the big public forums. This is the place for us to talk about it.

and you're right, this is a better place for it, instead of GD

edit: I see you've posted in GC & RKBA as well http://www.democraticunderground.com/1172170778

It'll be interesting to see how they try and spin it, with the usual "suicides don't count" and "if only everyone had better mental health care (but don't take away their guns)" schtick.
