imdb message boards no longer

The IMDb message boards are being shut down this month, and personally, I am glad.
I unregistered from the board years ago because I was tired of reading conspiracy theories, racism and sexism, hatred of EVERY movie and TV show, and other juvenile and unrelated content. The nonsense far overshadowed the legitimate commentary and questions. I was fine with someone stating that he didn't like a show, and telling legitimate reasons why, but that has seldom happened in the past decade.

They claim to have watched the movie discussed but don't seem to have paid attention, get the most important things wrong, let alone catch interesting details. Not very useful. It's a little depressing. I know that critical reading is too much to ask, but not being able to sit and watch a movie and understand the basic story?

The conspiracy theories were always brought up with any movie based on an actual event:
Apollo 13: We never went to the moon.
Patriots Day: It was all actors.
Any 9/11 movie: It was done by the US government.
Sully and any Hudson River movie: It was all actors, again.
Please don't use this post to start talking about ANY actual incident. That isn't the point of this post!
