(41,132 posts)asked DWS if her outfit was St. John to flatter, then starting ranting about what is dem. socialism? and progressive. He pulled out a dictionary and read a definition of d. socialism that covered govt. and property. Newly revealed pharma lobbyist Dean trried to smooth over, explain Vermont ways. It was bizarre.

(41,132 posts)Doubt they'd have a job for him with his ways and age, no offense. Working for Tip O'Neil when young might have been his limit.
DWS is a fairly decent actress...The whole gang!

Tweety began with a dictionary definition of SOCIALISM.
Dr. Dean had to correct him and say that Bernie "calls himself a social democrat, not a socialist"
But the distinction between socialist and social democrat never was explained, and never crossed Tweety's poorly informed mind.
Sometimes he really is dense. And that is bad for viewers.

(41,132 posts)Tweety doesn't want to look up or understand democratic socialism, his act is intentional. A couple days ago, ignorance of US history I thought was the main reason but no more. He knows better.
I stopped watching MSNBC. Mathews' show, 'The Red Scare Hour' will continue for months, in the new mgmt. style.
On the bright side, just caught Ed Schultz' 8 PM ET weeknights new half hour news show on RT USA, on Dish TV (or live online). He covered the New Zealand TPP signing today, US labor and workers, Iowa caucus issues, restrictions on voting for minorities in the US.
This cracks me up. Someone's revision of Halperin & Heilemann's Bernie 'Frankenstein Monster Mashup' from last spring.
