Vote Buying?

I was under the impression that Buying Votes was Illegal in this country.

Any reward given to a person for voting in a particular way or for not voting can be called vote buying. Vote buying is a corrupt election practice. A vote buying bribe is that having a monetary value. The practice of vote buying is banned in United States. Vote buying is a threat to the conduct of fair elections. In the U.S. vote buying is an offence when a person knowingly or willfully gives false information or conspires with another individual for the purpose of encouraging his false registration to vote or illegal voting, or pays or offers to pay or accepts payment either for registration to vote or for voting shall be fined not more than $ 10,000 or imprisoned not more than five years, or both. This provision shall only by applicable to general, special, or primary elections (42 USCS § 1973i(c)).

How is the money being used to Buy Super Delegate votes not illegally buying votes?

A loud article in the NYT in March proclaiming that elected officials in 22 states would not support Bernie Sanders conveniently left out that those 22 states had signed agreements with the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Hillary Victory Fund.

"Any reward given to a person for voting in a particular way or for not voting can be called vote buying"

But what I was given was not a reward for voting in a particular way. We met, I arranged a campaign contribution, and then I voted in my interest. Case Closed.

Unfortunately when everyone in government is a Boss Tweed, the burden of proof lies on the shoulders of the individuals claiming that this is corruption or bribery.

The counter to your question is, "How is the money being used to buy super delegate votes buying votes at all?"

If you can come up with a pocket sized answer for that question, please let me know. As long as our governors can keep saying that no amount of money has ever changed their votes, and we accept that answer with anything short of a swift boot out the door, politics will commence as usual.

of Hillary Super delegates and the Hillary Victory Pac.

There are signed contracts of the sale of votes and endorsements.
