Be prepared for more of this...

He extols government bent on initiatives such a redistributing wealth tax schemes to take from those who have and give to those who dont and confiscating the means of production, as in universal healthcare.
Cheers from the multitudes drown out the wisdom of historys great leaders like Winston Churchill:
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
Regardless of socialisms failure every time it has been tried, Sanders wants to make the United States its latest victim.

(32,106 posts)You don't say.
So, why did you bring this here? And don't tell me "be prepared this is what they're saying" because I already know this is what they say. This is what republicans/status quo say everyday.
It's also a bunch of BS. They will pull anything out of their asses to try to keep their individual wealth - even as the gap between the very wealthy and poor grows wider every day and we watch our middle class become a thing of the past.
It's really not the kind of crap I'd expect to see posted in a Bernie Sanders group. We are a group of folks who are open to closing that gap.

What I don't appreciate is the backhanded way people bring this stuff into a protected group under the auspices of "oh help me debunk this". Yeah, right.

As you said, we must be prepared for this type of slime to be used against Bernie.
An avalanche of LTTE calling out such garbage, will show our support for Bernie.

(12,778 posts)The excerpt I posted was all about Bernie being a socialist and wealth redistribution.
LTTEs can point out that yes we need wealth redistribution because the 1 percent are taking it all for themselves -- a point Bernie had repeatedly made on the campaign trail.
He wants a country that works for EVERYONE, not just the billionaires and corporate interests.

(32,106 posts)go ahead. If you'd like to post them here for comment I'm sure that would be helpful.
I really wasn't under the impression anyone even read such local papers anymore. In my neighborhood they insist on delivering them and they lay in the street until people pick them up on trash day and throw them in their recycling bin.
But I am a younger generation (under 50) so that could be the disconnect here.

Schema Thing
(10,283 posts)and what is, is this article. Write a letter to the editor.
TBF
(32,106 posts)something we see every single day from the GOP and media in this country.
So, we have a poster putting it front and center in this protected group & asking us to write letters to the editor? Seriously?
How many of you have a local paper delivered and write letters to the editor?
I might buy this "technique" if the poster had posted the letter along with his rebuttal letter & perhaps asked for feedback or something like that. But that's not what happened here.
If you're so convinced a "letter to the editor" is needed, you write it.
I will continue to do what I think helps more - contributing directly to Bernie's campaign & passing along pro-Bernie information (as opposed to dumping anti-socialist crap in a protected group).

(3,919 posts)garner support for bernie sanders than an llte. i suggest following Bernie's lead: focus on the truth, what bernie really says, and focus on progressive action.
personally, i would not waste my time responding to such ignorant ridiculous gibberish written in a manner so as to hit 2 birds with one stone. mr. greene tried to be clever in his attack on both hillary and bernie sanders only to pander to fort worth republicans.
your enthusiasm to rally bernie supporters is appreciated. however, more people are enthused presenting the offense rather than the defense. defensive actions in response to ignorant rants gets old real fast.
furher, i agree with the other poster here and question the value and the intent for posting this type of negative propaganda driven drivel in this group. we are adults here
and many of us have been around the block many times and after a time, certain patterns become obvious.
p.s. why aim and be happy for only one vote, antigop? presidential campaigns are not the same as christian campaigns (or any other religion) proselytizing to gain even just one new believer in order to gain a good seat in heaven next to their jesus, god, prophet, savior, redeemer, cult leader, etc..
and one more thing. you stated "a call to arms". i am offended with the use of this metaphor. we are not here to slay anything - bernie's campaign is to rebuild our democracy by progressing toward the future to better days for the middle class and the working poor, the unemployed, vets & disabled vets, families, students, and the marginalized ....

Bernie is obviously the best candidate for president in 2016. The fact that the hard-core repugs in Dallas are worried this early is music to my ears. They should be worried. He can win this!!! Go Bernie!!!!!!

How about just focusing on the all the great things are happening. Nothing works like positive and RIGHT thinking.
I could not care less what the old oligarchs are putting out there, we should respond with the FACTS and not help them spread their garbage, but that's just my opinion.
