Still think we shouldn’t take Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign seriously because he lacks big money donors? Guess what? Within 24 hours of Sanders’ announcement, the Democratic Socialist senator from Vermont raised a whopping $1.5 million in small donations.

A Tweet from writer Zaid Jilani also points out another amazing fact: Sanders raised way more than GOP front-runners Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Ted Cruz raised in their first 24 hours. Rand Paul and Marco Rubio each landed $1.25 million and Ted Cruz a mere $1 million.
