We are the ones we have been waiting for

This remains true regardless of who gets the nomination or the presidency. Getting Sanders the nomination is what we are working on at the moment, but he himself says that if he were president, nothing would change unless we keep going with the mass movement part.

That goes double if Clinton is the nominee or president, or if a Republican gets in. Moving our country toward a serious reduction in income inequality (and inroads on other parts of the Sanders platform) will be easiest with Sanders, harder with Clinton, and hardest of all with any Republican. Regardless of the election outcome next year, we just can't quit.

however I recall that phrase being used not too many years ago and I am not entirely pleased with the results that followed.

But, that may just always be the case.
