Merger of Doom. Good name for it. A review of what the hell happened to Boeing.

Short story: Turns out, Jack Welch and his sycophants killed not only GE, but another American giant, Boeing. How? The usual way. Cut costs at any cost - quality be damned, run the company like Lord of the Flies, and squeeze every dime possible out of unions, suppliers, etc. They literally crushed the heart of what was once an engineer's paradise and, in good times and bad times, one of the best run companies in America. All in the name of quarterly profits, share price and becoming a Wall Street darling. So, is there anything Wall Street and their gnat like attention span can't destroy? Efficient allocation of capital my ass.

Also recommend Mentour's youtube channels. A view from deep in the commercial aviation world for geeks and practitioners alike.
