BOSTON -- It was almost as if she was behind a lectern at Harvard again, teaching a lesson.
Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren took direct aim at Mitt Romney at an Obama fundraiser on Monday, dredging up his remark that “corporations are people.”
“No, Mitt, corporations are not people,” she exclaimed. “People have hearts, they have kids, they get jobs, they get sick,… they live and they die. Learn the difference.
“And Mitt, learn this: we don’t run this country for corporations, we run it for people,” Warren continued, drawing cheers from the crowd at Boston Symphony Hall.

House Majority Leader Turzai Reveals House Plan To Pass Voter ID Laws For 'ROMNEY TO WIN PA'
House Majority Leader Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) suggested that the House’s end game in passing the Voter ID law was to benefit the GOP politically.
“We are focused on making sure that we meet our obligations that we’ve talked about for years,” said Turzai in a speech to committee members Saturday. He mentioned the law among a laundry list of accomplishments made by the GOP-run legislature.
“Pro-Second Amendment? The Castle Doctrine, it’s done. First pro-life legislation – abortion facility regulations – in 22 years, done. Voter ID, which is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done.”
The statement drew a loud round of applause from the audience. It also struck a nerve among critics, who called it an admission that they passed the bill to make it harder for Democrats to vote — and not to prevent voter fraud as the legislators claimed.

GORKA: "Arizona, like many other states in this nation, take it upon themselves to craft policies for their own specific states. Governor has said repeatedly that states are a laboratory of democracy, what one state crafts may not work in others but ultimately this, again, goes back to the president failing to deliver on his campaign promises. As candidate Obama, he said he would address immigration in the first year and hasn’t and instead put in a stopgap measure four and a half months before the election."

Limbaugh has been a mainstay on the CBS owned station in Philadelphia for at least 20 years.
Today he was replaced by Michael Smerconish with the intro "forget the anger, reason is back".
I called the station manager to confirm that it was in fact a permanent and to congratulate him on his public service.
This is one station, but it is a major market that is replacing hate speech one
program at a time. Hannity was dropped last year.
Of course it is all about money and proof that the boycott worked.

After more than 20 years as a fixture on Rutland’s talk/sports radio station, Rush Limbaugh was dropped this month from the AM station’s lineup, replaced by a syndicated sports talk show.
Debbie Grembowicz, WSYB’s general manager, released a statement addressing the decision to drop the controversial conservative talk show host.
“Any business trying to remain vital must grow and change,” Grembowicz wrote in an email. “Some changes are more noticeable than others. There are many considerations with every one. This is an instance where a challenging decision needed to be made with WSYB.”
She continued that she’s aware “that not everyone is happy when something they enjoy changes.”

I raised them from 1993 to going on 1997. Four boys. It was all in my house. I had six at the time. I was a baby sitter to two other kids. The young man that was here, I had him off and on since he was three days old. I raised him and his brother. His grandmother had custody of him. She sent for me and I went to see her. She had cancer. She asked will I raise them, and I said yeah. I rode over in the morning, come home, I would go by the house, get the kids, I would feed her dinner, nobody was there to help her. I would feed her dinner and everything, wash her clothes, do the dishes, all that. I’d take the boys, bring them home, help with the homework, wash their clothes at my house, hang their clothes. Next morning at 5 o’clock I would get them boys up, get them dressed.”

He recalled another staged stunt, “the fireman story,” that happened around the same year during the Christmas season. As holiday business picked up, Shaw kept the store open until 9:00 p.m. during the week, he said, and routinely received truck shipments around closing time.
So when he heard a “loud banging” on the metal delivery door in the back of the shop as he was preparing to lock the front door, he thought it was just another late-night delivery.
But when Shaw opened the door, he explained, he suddenly stood face-to-face with Mitt Romney “in full Bloomfield Township fireman’s regalia.”
“He had on the waterproof cape, the fire helmet, and he was carrying a bona fide fire ax,” Shaw told TheDC, and barged into the store screaming, “Where’s the fire? Where’s the fire?”

The amazing thing about Dick Cheney is that he is actually given credit at this point for defending his own daughter's right to marry. But neither he nor Mary has lifted a finger to help advance the cause or make the case, when either one could have transformed the debate. The family is parasitic on the courage of others - and utterly without principle in their enmeshment with power.
