As The New York Times reported Friday, the exact subject of the subpoena remains vague, and there is no indication that it’s related to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling.

Though Kushner sold the majority of his stake as Kushner Companies’ CEO in January when Trump took office, he still retains some ownership over the family business. As the Times noted, the vast Kushner “family businesses include many legal entities.”

The subpoenas came from the U.S. attorney’s office in the Eastern District of New York, where three members of Mueller’s team have worked, including one as recently as this year, the report continued.

Though the Brooklyn United States attorney has been investigating Kushner’s use of an alleged visa scam, the report noted that Deutsche Bank “does not appear to have been involved,” suggesting the subject of the latest subpoena “may be unrelated.”

A top FBI official with inside knowledge of Donald Trump's attempts to pressure James Comey to clear him in the Russia investigation has quietly been reassigned within the agency by Trump's handpicked FBI chief.

A senior FBI official who can reportedly verify that Donald Trump pressured former FBI Director James Comey to clear him in the ongoing investigation into Russian election interference was quietly reassigned by Trump’s FBI director, according to an explosive new report by the Washington Post.

In a sudden and unexpected move, James Baker — the FBI’s top lawyer — was just reassigned by FBI Director Christopher A. Wray.

Wray was installed as Trump’s chosen FBI director after Comey was fired.

Baker has served as the head of the FBI’s Office of General Counsel for years, but now the transfer is occurring as special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has secured several convictions and indictments of senior Trump campaign officials.

The Post notes that Baker is “very close” to Comey.

Another Con: Bitcoin loses more than a third of value over a week

Bitcoin continues to give its investors an exciting ride. This week it has lost more than a third of its value from its record high of nearly $20,000.

On Friday, it fell below $11,000, according to the Coindesk exchange website, before recovering to about $12,000.

This puts it on track for its worst week since 2013.

The currency has had a blistering trip over the past 12 months. Its price at the start of the year was $1,000.

Charles Hayter, founder and chief executive of industry website Cryptocompare, said: "A manic upward swing led by the herd will be followed by a downturn as the emotional sentiment changes."

He said a lot of traders would have been cashing in on the spectacular gains made over the year.
