California Teenager Sues United Airlines Over Masturbating Passenger

A California teenager is suing United Airlines after she said the company did nothing to prevent a fellow passenger from joining the mile-high club with himself.

Monica Amestoy, 18, claims that while flying from New York to Los Angeles last October, she noticed the man fueling his pocket rocket, Courthouse News reported.

Amestoy, who is represented by Gloria Allred, says she allerted a flight attendant, who got the man to stop, but as soon as the attendant left, "the perpetrator exposed his penis and started to masturbate again," Amestoy's complaint states.

She complained again, but says the flight crew told her there was nothing more they could do, according to CBS LA.

She also says she was told she could not relocate because there were no empty seats in her class, according to KABC.

10 Year Old Finds $10,000 In Kansas City Airport Hotel Room

Ten-year-old Tyler Schaefer likes to find stuff

He sticks his fingers in coin-operated machine slots, scans the ground for lost cash and looks for prize tickets hanging out of arcade games at Chuck E. Cheese.

But neither the boy nor his father was prepared for what Tyler would find in a drawer Saturday night in their room at the Hilton Kansas City Airport hotel.

It was $10,000, and for now no one has claimed it. If no one can prove legal ownership, it could someday belong to the Schaefers.

Cody Schaefer, Tyler’s father, said Tyler started looking for things a few years ago.

Captain America Impersonator Fights Spiderman Impersonator On Hollywood Blvd.

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Costumed superhero characters were involved in a brawl Wednesday afternoon on the streets of Hollywood.

Witnesses said two Captain Americas and a Spider-Man threw punches at each other in front of the Madame Tussauds kiosk, feet away from the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.

“All of a sudden, two Captain Americas and Spider-Man started circling around me. Captain America just hit one of them and Spider-Man started bleeding,” said Vernardo Stroud.

Stroud said he was forced to step in.

“I was stunned at the moment. Then all of a sudden, it just got to me…I got to get them out of the way. The tourists just looked around like they were enjoying the moment,” he said.

Juan Diego, a native of Spain, told KCAL9’s Suraya Fadel that he was one of the men involved in the fight.

Teacher Faked Terminal Illness To Get Out Of Work

POLK COUNTY, Fla. —

A teacher admitted to fabricating a story that she and her father were dying so she could skip class.

The Polk County school district said it wanted to fire Laurel Elementary School teacher Ashley Barker, who kept up the ruse for a year.

Barker told officials at the school that she wasn't at the hospital or the doctor's office while she was supposedly sick, but was home the entire time with nothing wrong.

School district officials said Barker weaved a heartbreaking tale. The first-grade teacher said her father was sick and dying, and so was she.

Hungary Throws Govt Sponsored Dance Party To Increase Population

Budapest, Hungary - Peter Vamos is 33-years-old and looking for love. This Hungarian student has hopes of finding a wife and starting a large family.

“I have a dream… I want many children,” he said, as his voice trails off, his eyes well up and his hands tremble.

He apologises and explains it is an emotional topic. Sitting in a cafe in downtown Budapest, he explains how Hungary’s struggling economy is making him question how many children he can have, although he admits he wants as many as possible.

“You need to be in the right place and [have] the right person for that and I have neither.”

The Hungarian government says it wants to help young singles searching for that special someone. Over the weekend, the government held dance parties across the country to help Hungary’s youth meet in the hopes of eventually finding a mate. The programme, called “Are you free for a dance?” is an attempt to stop the population decline and boost birth rates.

The Minister of State for Social, Family and Youth Affairs Miklos Soltesz said: “Youngsters who are attending universities are getting married later and later and generally for them establishing connections is more difficult than it was 10 or 20 years ago.”

Bone Cancer Survivor Can Rotate Her Leg 180 Degrees

Cancer treatment gave Jen O'Shea a very surprising talent. The Toronto woman can turn her leg 180 degrees so that the bottom of her foot faces the ceiling.

O'Shea was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in 2010, and had to get an internal hemipelvectomy in 2011. In short, doctors had to remove the right side of her pelvis and didn't replace it with anything. The 28-year-old Torontonian had to go through months of physio just to do basic tasks like climbing the stairs without crutches or walking. But about a year ago, O'Shea and a co-worker discovered that the surgery gave her a weird ability.

"I slowly lifted it up and I freaked out and he freaked out and we were at work so a co-worker comes by to see what's going on and they freaked out," she told the Sydney Morning Herald.

O'Shea says that turning her leg like that doesn't actually hurt and she doesn't even feel much stretching. "My mom was very adamant that she didn’t want me to do it. She was very worried that I was ruining the procedure," O'Shea told the Huffington Post Canada over the phone.

Katy Perry *AND* Robert Pattinson Crash A Random Stranger's Wedding Rehearsal

Summer weddings are great and all, but they're even better when the stars crash them.

Longtime pals Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry made a surprise pit stop at Montecito, Calif.'s San Ysidro Ranch over the holiday weekend, inadvertently showing up at the wedding rehearsal of two strangers, People reports.

Pattinson and Perry — both reportedly single after splits from Kristen Stewart and John Mayer, respectively — appeared in the ranch's main courtyard on Saturday, sitting, talking, and watching the bridal procession. According to one of the rehearsal's guests, Stephanie Sands, it was the bride, Tanya Mayer, who spotted the famous faces.

Hong Kong Starbucks Apologizes For Brewing Coffee With Toilet Water

The faucet that Starbucks used was only a few feet away from a urinal. There were concerns about hygiene, and Hong Kong's Food and Environmental Hygiene Department told Apple Daily that this Starbucks' use of water was not within regulations. Since this discovery, the department has apparently issued a warning to the coffee chain's Central Hong Kong restaurant.

Woman Gets Upset After Starbucks Writes "Vagina" Instead of "Virginia"

Whoops. A Hong Kong Starbucks made one customer unhappy after totally screwing up a first name. Imagine that! A Starbucks spelling fail? Impossible. Read…

Ben Cowling, associate professor from the University of Hong Kong’s School of Public Health, told HK Magazine that filtering the water should remove harmful bacteria. However, a purifier would be necessary to remove the smaller-sized viruses that could be present in the water.

But that wasn't his only concern, HK Magazine pointed out. "If the staff need to frequently visit the toilet, they may increase the risk of bringing other pathogens from the washroom into their food and drink preparation area," Cowling added.

Patrons are understandably upset. One woman told Apple Daily that it was Starbucks' responsiblity to have a clean water supply, no matter the cost. "People with common sense wouldn't have used the water from toilet pipes," said a male Hong Kong resident. Many Starbucks patrons expressed uneasiness about the whole situation.

Patrick Stewart Has Gone 72 Years Without Eating A Slice Of Pizza

"My first ever pizza 'slice'. Please note: the authentic NY fold," the Park Sloper tweeted today. How is this possible?

We don't know. It is incomprehensible that a man — particularly one who has spent much of his adult life in Los Angeles and New York — could go 72 years without ever consuming a single slice of pizza. Stewart does emphasize the word slice in his tweet, so perhaps he's eaten plenty of whole pizzas. Still, though. You'd really have to go out of your way to pull that off. One guy we know went so long without having tried pie that "not eating pie" became sort of his thing, and he embraced it, but we doubt that's what's going on here. Anyway, congrats, and nice technique on the fold.

German operating theatre - file pic A scan revealed the pencil's location so that doctors could operate

German doctors say an Afghan man who for years suffered from headaches, a runny nose and eyesight problems was found to have a 10-centimetre (four-inch) pencil lodged in his head.

Surgeons at Aachen University Hospital removed the pencil and the 24-year-old is reported to be recovering.

The pencil had injured the man's sinuses and right eye socket.

When asked how the pencil had got there he recalled that as a boy he had once fallen and had a serious nosebleed.
