And then there's this, beanie artist David Klein is dedicating his Blue Dog, Beanie, to Bernie's campaign:

Even Dogs Love Bernie

"Beanie for Bernie" is the latest creation of East Calais artist David Klein, who has been making Beanie art for several decades. The original pup was quite vocal, apparently, hence the name Beanie the Singing Dog. And she, like her owner, is an activist, pacifist and comedian. (Klein works as a standup and actor and says he runs the monthly People's Café at Bagitos in Montpelier.)

For now, Beanie is all about Bernie, and aims to bark the message loud and strong: Enough is enough. "It's a message that needs to get out," Klein says. "We demand a better world. Animals and people unite!'

Will doggie dioramas and posters help? Klein says yes. "Bernie has been saying the same thing for years, and it's more true than ever," he says. "With Beanie behind him, he's got a chance."

Dogs we know, are Democrats. But what about cats? No Cats For Bernie yet? Are cats Republicans? Lol!

"Bernie Sanders Slaps the Press Silly"

Bernie Sanders Slaps the Press Silly

?1433547517

The inevitable attempt to get him to slam Hillary, and now familiar slap down of THEM by Bernie instead:

What does Bernie Sanders think of the media’s performance so far this campaign? Barely adequate. The huge speaking fees Bill and Hillary Clinton have accepted? Wrong question, he says; you should be asking why anyone pays them. How about primary debates? Sanders says the entire system should be redesigned to bring Republicans on stage with Democrats.

Schooling the press again on their non-news reporting of Presidential Candidates:

Clinton has yet to put herself in the situation that Sanders eagerly embraced Thursday morning, as he engaged in a frank give-and-take with reporters over breakfast. He delivered some lines it would be hard to imagine Clinton ever uttering — not because they reflected his socialist outlook, but because they were so blunt.

“Campaigns are not baseball games,” Sanders scolded. “What did I read in the paper today? Gov. Bush is getting a new campaign manager. You know who cares about that? About eight people in the world. Nobody cares about that.”

Admonishing them for their use of the word 'socialist' when referring to him, suggesting they should then use the word 'capitalist' to describe the rest of the field:

Sanders went on to express irritation with the way journalists slap the "socialist" label on him, as if his embrace of policies common in the democracies of western Europe makes him a radical outlier.

“It is not a radical agenda,” he said. “In virtually every instance, what I am saying is supported by a significant majority of the American people. Yes, it is not supported by the Business Roundtable or the Chamber of Commerce or Wall Street. I maybe old-fashioned enough to believe that Congress might want to be representing a vast majority of our people … and not just the Koch brothers and other campaign contributors.”

He suggested that if the media are going to refer to him as a socialist, journalists also should affix the label of “capitalist” with every mention of his rivals.

Still refusing to take their bait regarding Hillary, but they just don't learn.

Watching him trying to teach the press their job is a beautiful thing to watch. He simply won't play by the 'inside the beltway rules' they operate under.

From now on, I believe we should follow his advice, and when referring to people like, say Gutierrez, the poor guy who KNEW ALL ABOUT BERNIE'S politics, 'the Socialist, what's-his-name' guy, but didn't know who he was, except he did, we should refer to him as the the Capitalist.

Great idea Bernie.

What they don't GET is that the word Capitalist now is the dirty word to many Americans, and to young people who have suffered and are suffering under that system, the words Socialist Democrat is becoming more and more popular.

So refreshing to watch a politician not RUN from the press, or play along as they are expected to do, but bluntly tell them what a failure they are to their faces and ENJOY doing it

"Despite Israel Gaffe, Bernie Sanders Still Likes Diane Rehm"

Despite Israel Gaffe, Bernie Sanders Still Likes Diane Rehm

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on Thursday shrugged off NPR radio host Diane Rehm repeatedly asking him whether he was a citizen of Israel during an interview a day earlier.

"I like Diane Rehm. She is a good radio interviewer," Sanders said at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast. "I suspect what happens is her staff gives her a list of questions and someone screwed up pretty bad."

Bernie said he has heard the question before. When asked about that

Sanders shrugged without elaborating about that interaction.

"Your guess is as good as mine," he said.

He is a remarkable human being, it's clear he wants to focus on issues and is anxious not to allow anything to distract from that.

In that spirit I believe that the interview with Diane Rehm is well worth listening to because Bernie excelled in my view and demonstrated that he is truly worthy of the support he is getting.

Bernie Sanders on the Diane Reme Show

I didn't count the number of questions he responded to or the number of topics covered, there were so many. Questions came from Diane Rehm herself, good questions all of which he answered without hesitation.

Then there were some good questions from listeners, from email received by the show, from twitter covering a wide range of topics.

Bernie answered each and every one of them in a way that no one could doubt how much thought he has devoted to the issues over the decades of his career.

On the I/P situation eg, he destroyed any claims that he is 'rabidly pro-Israel' and showed that, as with all the issues, he is fair, thoughtful and for equality for all people.

Bernie wants to move away from distractions and continue to focus on the issues.

If he can do that, I believe we should also.

Diane Rehm Apologizes to Bernie Sanders for false statement about Dual US/Israeli Citizenship.

Well good for her but she certainly should have done some research before making that statement.

Radio Host to Sanders: Aren't you an Israeli dual citizen like some other members of Congress

One doesn’t usually dial up NPR or its affiliates to indulge in conspiracy theories, but perhaps they’re looking to rebrand. WAMU radio host Diane Rehm turned an otherwise dry hour with Senator Bernie Sanders into a surreal moment, falsely accusing Sanders of having dual Israeli citizenship. When Sanders forcefully denied it, Rehm went on to note that his name was on a list of several members of Congress who have dual citizenship with Israel, which Sanders called “nonsense.”

The Jewish Journal’s Jared Sichel picked it up first, and the Washington Free Beacon put the clip on YouTube:

From the above link, the text of the conversation:

Diane Rehm: Senator, you have dual citizenship with Israel.

Bernie Sanders: Well, no I do not have dual citizenship with Israel. I’m an American. I don’t know where that question came from. I am an American citizen, and I have visited Israel on a couple of occasions. No, I’m an American citizen, period.

Rehm: I understand from a list we have gotten that you were on that list.

Sanders: No.

Rehm: Forgive me if that is—

Sanders: That’s some of the nonsense that goes on in the internet. But that is absolutely not true.

Rehm: Interesting. Are there members of Congress who do have dual citizenship or is that part of the fable?

Sanders: I honestly don’t know but I have read that on the internet. You know, my dad came to this country from Poland at the age of 17 without a nickel in his pocket. He loved this country. I am, you know, I got offended a little bit by that comment, and I know it’s been on the internet. I am obviously an American citizen and I do not have any dual citizenship.

This is her apology:

“On today’s show I made a mistake. Rather than asking Senator and Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders whether he had dual U.S./Israeli citizenship, as I had read in a comment on Facebook, I stated it as fact. He corrected me, saying he did not know where the question came from. I apologized immediately,” Rehm said. “I want to apologize as well to all our listeners for having made an erroneous statement. I am sorry for the mistake. However, I am glad to play a role in putting this rumor to rest.”

The issue wasn’t whether she offered it as a statement of fact or a question; it was that she brought it up at all without performing any due diligence. This isn’t a Jeopardy form error, it’s journalistic malpractice. Rehm admits she just looked at the Facebook comment and took it as fact. In doing so, she didn’t “play a role in putting this rumor to rest,” Rehm attempted to propagate it.

Her credibility is now in serious Jeopardy, though.

I would say so, especially considering WHERE she found the 'list':

Clearly an anti-semitic page on FB.

See for yourself if you can stomach it:

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=836554619769208&set=p.836554619769208&type=1&theater

Bernie's campaign has issued what I think is a very graceful statement:

“Diane Rehm is an excellent radio host. There’s a great big Internet out there with lots of good and bad information. I’ve never heard the question come up before,” Briggs said.

If it was intended to be a 'gotcha moment' it certainly has backfired badly.

Bernie's campaign appears to want to move on. As he has repeatedly stated, he simply wants to talk about the issues. And wondered on the air, 'will you guys just let us do that'?

Rehm answered that question with her erroneous accusation.

All excerpts and links are from the original link at the top of the post

Edited to add the link to the full interview. Bernie Sanders on the Diane Reme Show

It's a shame that this happened, because for nearly an hour, it was a great interview. Bernie responded to questions from listeners, from tweets, emails, and never hesitated to address every question, including on the I/P situation, on Netanyahu, our policies in the ME and on racial issues re the police.

Elizabeth Warren's "Most Watched" Video Is Absolutely Fantastic. She is Mad as Hell & Rightly So!

Elizabeth Warren's "Most Watched" Video Is Absolutely Fantastic

Last week, Senator Elizabeth Warren participated in a conference hosted by tech website Re/Code, where she was asked a policy question about infrastructure spending. What followed was an incredibly powerful response that touched upon the Massachusetts senator's signature issues—student loans, misplaced Washington interests, and the systematic problems hurting middle class Americans.

"The only way we get change is when enough people in this country say, 'I'm mad as hell and I'm fed up and I'm not going to do this anymore,'" Warren said. "'You are not going to represent me in Washington, DC, if you are not willing to pass a meaningful infrastructure bill. If you are not willing to refinance student loan interest rates and stop dragging in billions of dollars in profits off the backs of kids who otherwise can't afford to go to college. If you don't say you're going to fund the NIH and the NISF, because that is our future.' We have to make these issues salient and not just wonky."

The video can be viewed by clicking the link. It is now officially, according to MJ, her most watched video.

Note how she is promoting Bernie Sanders policies?

According to a member of the DNC, Bernie Sanders is 'crazy'.

According to two of the founders of the Third Way, Elizabeth Warren needs to 'tone down' her rhetoric.

But according to polls across the political spectrum, both Warren and Sanders speak for a majority of the American people.

This woman speaks for me.

Bernie Sanders speaks for me.

You must watch the video. She is genuinely angry and as Bernie said, 'The American People are Angry'!

Yes they are!

Rachel Maddow: 'Hillary Clinton Better not Underestimate Bernie Sanders'

Maddow: Hillary Clinton Better not Underestimate Bernie Sanders

On Monday, Rachel Maddow pointed out that the mainstream would do well to stop ignoring Sanders, not because he needs the help, but because he will be a force to be reckoned with in days to come.

“The Beltway media has been thinking of Bernie Sanders as an asterisk in this campaign, right? As kind of the Dennis Kucinich character this year,” said Maddow. “But he has not been functioning that way at all.”

“Ever since Bernie Sanders has gotten in, it’s been good news for Bernie Sanders after god news for him after good news for him,” Maddow continued.

All of that good news should have the Clinton campaign sweating. What if that record of good news just doesn’t stop?

“What does it mean if Bernie Sadners Continues to do as well as he has been doing? … What do you think the message of that is for the Hillary Clinton folks?” asked Maddow.

Rachel definitely did treat Bernie as a serious candidate in his own right on her show this week.

For one thing she did not ask him about Hillary but allowed him to talk about the issues.

Before the interview, she did some pretty positive coverage of his campaign showing how successful he's been so far.

The MSM is the OLD MEDIA. They are playing by the outdated rules of the Status Quo. Rachel I'm sure is involved in the New Media and she sees the excitement and enthusiasm Sen. Sanders' campaign is generating.

And he's done it all with NO Big Wall St. Contributers, just the people he will be representing.

Bernie will win this election, absent any kind of foul play.

The people have been starving for someone like him for a long, long time.

Rachel Maddow Gave Bernie Some Great Coverage on her Show Tonight!

http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/watch/sanders-enjoying-campaign-bernie-boomlet-455316035938

The actual interview with Bernie was fairly short but she spent a good deal of time talking very positively about his campaign.

Bernie seems to have some great media contacts, he's all over the media which is great.

If you don't want to watch the whole show, start around 17 mins where Rachel talks about Bernie's campaign and talks to a Dem about Bernie's huge crowds, especially in his little town, and what they might mean.

She doesn't go right to Bernie after that so you might want to skip again until Bernie's interview comes up.

Rachel, so far, is the only MSM anchor/reporter who did NOT ask Bernie about Hillary.

The entire show is available at the above link.
