center rising's JournalObama spends only 6 minutes on foreign policy in SOTU speech. Too little??
I know the economy and jobs are the #1 issues with people around the country, and he did spend a lot of time addressing those issues, but to me, spending only 6 minutes on foreign policy with the challenges we face in the world was just not enough. Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, Russia, China, the Middle East in general, Asia, all should have at least been mentioned. While domestic issues are rightly being the main topic talked about, foreign policy is also a critical area that Obama must also address.
World issues are a strength for this president, and he's done a lot, along with Hillary, in changing the scope of our foreign policy from Mr. Cowboy. Play up that strength Mr. President. It's a winner for you!!
Tonight, millions of Republicans are happy, while millions more are sweating bullets!!!
The kook wing of the Republican party are delirious tonight with Newt's win, while others like Susan Molinari, Peter King and their minions are scared to death of what could happen if Newt were to somehow pull off a huge upset and actually get the nomination.
Don't think it'll happen, but it's nice to know the civil war in Republican land will continue for a while.
Has anyone ever had a worse week than Mitt Romney has had this week??
Going from running away with the election with a South Carolina win, to 2 horrible debates, questions about his taxes, and his utter failure at trying to answer them, to now being as much as 6 points behind Newt Gingrich, and lowering expectations for a win.
The man has gone from on top of the mountain to falling all the way down the mountain.
Willard has had a horrible week.

Bill Clinton; MSNBC "Our version of Fox"
Clinton had an interview with Esquire magazine and called MSNBC "Our, (Democratic), version of Fox"!! Clinton blamed insatiable demand for cable news. "We have so many news and media outlets now, they have contributed to more contentious and a more divisive public discourse and less to actual reporting of the news and facts surrounding it".

Huntsman wasn't the problem, his party is the problem!!!
There is no room for people like Jon Huntsman in the Republican party. I liked Huntsman, but he's got to realize the Republican party the way it's set up, will never accept someone who is not BSC.
Now that Huntsman is out, the remaining candidates are just fodder for the nutbags to fight over.
Sad!!
Winners and losers #10
Winners and losers for the week
Winners;
1, Rick Santorum; Yup, little Ricky is the latest stooge to surge in the Iowa polling, running neck and neck with both Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. Looks like the teabaggers are flocking towards Ricky because Mitt has problems with his flip-flopping and Ron Paul has problems with looking like a total asshole. Just think if little Ricky wins Iowa, this throws the whole nominating process right out the door. Go Ricky!!
2, Nat Geo Wild; The network gets a gold star for its segments on saving the big cats around the world like lions, tigers, cheetahs and leopards. Stars like Betty White, Sarah Mc. Lachlan, Nancy Cartwright and Casey Anderson have starred in these commercials and have given their time and effort into this great cause.
Losers;
1 Hugo Chavez; Man this idiot is really a pathetic loser. Now he speculates that the US somehow is able to give leftist Latin American leaders cancer. Yes Hugo, the US is actively trying to come up with ways to spread cancer around Latin America, and especially their leaders. Everytime this boob opens his mouth the total stupidity that flows from it, simply amazes me!!
2, Newt Gingrich; If the latest polls are any indication, Newtie is fallen to fourth place behind Paul, Romney and Santorum!! His positive campaigning lasted about 3 seconds, and is now back attacking Paul in new ads. Don't you just love sitting back and watching Newtie explode??!!!
3, Michelle Bachmann; Not only is her campaign flailing in the winds, people and money are leaving her left and right. This does not bode well for a campaign that maybe well on its way to imploding and having to drop out of the race.
If Gingrich is the nominee, how many states does he win??
I see the following states for Newt.
Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana and Virginia.
A total of 21 states and 183 electoral votes.
Obama wins the rest. 355 EV's.
Winners and losers #9
My winners and losers for the past week;
Winners;
1, Barack Obama. He continues to show good strength in the latest polls from various polling groups, and he is standing up to the Republicans, (so far), in this payroll tax fight. Obama has done enough compromising with the Republicans over the past year, and he needs to stay the course and continue fighting for the middle class. He's on the winning side of at least this issue.
2, Ron Paul. Now that Newtie is falling apart in the polls from Iowa, it seems the conservatives are now casting Paul as the latest "Anyone but Romney" candidate. Will this be the last change we will see in Iowa?? I seriously doubt it, but as for right now, Paul had the momentum.
Losers;
1, John Boehner and Eric Cantor. That's right folks. The terrible twosome are more interested in placating the teabagger nutjobs, that they are willing to stick their heads into the noose, and raise taxes on 160 million working men and women This stance by these twits are so bad that even morons like Karl Rove and the editorial board of the Wall St. Journal are denouncing these trolls. Way to win over the American people assholes!!!
2, Newt Gingrich. Two weeks ago, Newtie was riding high in the polls and it looked like it was a mere forgone conclusion that he was going to win in Iowa, and be the real frontrunner. Two weeks later, after some devastating attacks by fellow Republicans, he finds himself falling fast. How far will he fall before Jan. 3rd??
3, Kim Jong Il. his death a couple days ago, brings a sorry and sick end to this dictators reign of evil. Building up tensions with South Korea, the US and others with missile tests, and provocations, while in turn living the life of luxury while his people literally starved to death, really shows just how much this man was demented. Rot in hell you bastard!!!
