A West Virginia middle school was placed on lockdown Tuesday after man apparently walked into school, insisting that he sing Justin Bieber songs to students over the intercom, according to The Washington Times and other sources.

The incident occurred in the town of Dunbar. Local subsequently charged D’laonte Dee Lewis with simple possession for a small amount of marijuana.

Lewis, who was buzzed into Dunbar Middle School, allegedly entered the building’s main office while the morning announcements were being made, demanding that he be permitted to sing to students.

As a result, the school was placed on a precautionary lockdown and a police officer stationed at the building was called to the scene. Lewis was reportedly handcuffed and transported to Thomas Memorial Hospital.

1979 album returns in 7-disc format

Fleetwood Mac will release an expanded version of 1979 album Tusk on December 4.

The double-length work was a departure from highly successful predecessor Rumours, and it was the most expensive album recorded up to that point, costing over $1m to produce.

The deluxe edition contains five CDs, a DVD and two vinyl discs, which offer the original remastered album, unheard session recordings plus singles, demos, remixes and and live tracks.

Tusk will also be available in 3CD and single-disc editions.

A New Mexico man who had been watching The Walking Dead told police that he beat his friend to death with an electric guitar and a microwave because the victim was turning into a zombie, according to reports in local media.

Moses Marquez, a sergeant in Grants, a small city about 80 miles west of Albuquerque, told local TV station KOB that 23-year-old Damon Perry of nearby Prewitt confessed to police that he had been binge-viewing The Walking Dead on Netflix and noticed that his pal Christopher Paquin, also 23, was beginning "to change into a zombie."

According to KOB, Grants police responded to an apartment building on Thursday after 911 callers said a man – later identified as Perry – was running around the complex threatening people with a knife.

When officers arrived, the station reported, two maintenance workers were holding Perry down. Meanwhile, an officer found Paquin's badly beaten body inside a nearby apartment.

Washington (CNN)Chris Christie was asked to leave Amtrak's quiet car Sunday morning after passengers complained to a conductor about the New Jersey governor yelling at his security detail and into his cell phone, according to a rider.

Christie, a Republican presidential candidate, was on the 9:55 a.m. train back to New Jersey from Washington, D.C., after an appearance on CBS' "Face the Nation."

He walked onto the train with a McDonald's strawberry smoothie, already chewing out someone who was with him, possibly a security officer, about a mix-up in seating arrangements, according to Alexander Mann, a passenger on the same train who detailed the Christie incident to CNN in an email and in photos.

Mann wrote that just before the train departed, Christie boarded behind "two men who appeared to be Secret Service agents" -- though that's unlikely, since Christie doesn't yet have Secret Service detail; his staff said he traveled Sunday with one New Jersey state trooper -- and was "yelling at them about some sort of mixup with the seating arrangements and how they had let it happen."
