Vanity Fair: The Exact Moment Each of Trumps Enemies Sold Their Souls

It's a slideshow at the link below, worth a click.

The Exact Moment Each of Trump’s Enemies Sold Their Souls

The Exact Moment Each of Trump’s Enemies Sold Their SoulsLess than 10 months ago, standing up to Donald Trump was among the most noble, patriotic acts sententious Republicans could perform. Oh, how times have changed. Whether it was for the cause of the American people, or in the interest of saving their hides or reviving their careers, these former #NeverTrumpers found it in their hearts to forgive the gaffe-prone Republican, whether he was caught misusing his family charity or bragging about groping women’s genitals. Herein, the exact, ignominious moments they struck their respective Faustian deals with the great orange devil, captured on film forever.

2016 begins and ends with music deaths

In order to follow the "four paragraph rule," I just copied the list of names from Raw Story's article. The sad truth here is that these are the "headliners"...the list of musicians from lesser-revered bands is one hell of a lot longer than this.

The biggest blow came for me on December 28, 2015...Lemmy, who was supposed to outlast Keith Richards as the king of the indestructible. Lemmy was like the Frank Zappa of hard rock (Motörhead was not a "metal" band, even though they are considered to be a part of the NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal)...he introduced the band on most occasions by saying "We are Motörhead and we play rock and roll.&quot But just like Zappa, the band could be relied upon to dish up at least an album a year, and it would demand your attention, and it would make you think about how much you were letting the world screw with you versus how much you were willing to screw it back. As Bonnie Raitt observed upon the passing of Little feat founder Lowell George, it was like the county fair wouldn't be coming to town again. And when we lost Lemmy, I didn't anticipate the flood of loss that would happen once we turned the corner into 2016.

Take David Bowie, for example. How many people stopped listening after the "Let's Dance" album and its cluster of hits ("Let's Dance," "China Girl," "Modern Love&quot ? Truth is, he released twelve studio albums after that...two by Tin Machine, his band experiment that tanked in the mainstream...plus live albums and a number of other projects. And like Lemmy, and like Zappa, even during his quiet periods, there was always the "in the back of the mind" expectation that he'd emerge from the shadows with some weird and wonderful new masterpiece, or less-than-masterpiece, and who really cared, because a new Bowie album, good or bad, was always more interesting than the "American Idol" / "The Voice" / "America's Got Talent" boredom of the mass marketplace.

The purpose of this post isn't to remind you that Bowie, Prince, Frey and the rest are no longer with us. We did the memorial threads upon each of their passings. The purpose is to give you the opportunity to reflect on these musicians as well as the countless others who didn't make Raw Story's list, and post your own memories and videos.

2016...6 days to go, and I hope the list doesn't see any more names in those 6 days.

Neo-Nazi Trump fanboy plans to #MAGA by "busing in skinheads from the Bay Area."

Andrew Anglin -- via Wiki commons

The small town of Whitefish has become a hub of turmoil with the rise of Spencer whose mother owns a business in the downtown district. While Sherry Spencer doesn’t share his son’s white separatist beliefs, she has been taking heat and facing financial setbacks from locals because she allows him to use her address as the headquarters for his deceptively named National Policy Institute.

Previously neo-Nazi fans of Spencer have limited their threats to the people of Whitefish by using social media, however Andrew Anglin, who runs The Daily Stormer website, now says he plans to lead a march in the town aimed at Jews in the community.

“We are planning an armed protest in Whitefish,” Anglin wrote. “Montana has extremely liberal open carry laws, so my lawyer is telling me we can easily march through the center of the town carrying high-powered rifles. I myself am planning on being there to lead the protest, which has been dubbed ‘March on Whitefish.’”

According to Anglin, he claims he will be busing in “skinheads from the Bay Area,” adding, “Currently, my guys say we are going to be able to put together about 200 people to participate in the march, which will be against Jews, Jewish businesses and everyone who supports either.”

Obviously FAKE news...OR IS IT??? "Childproof lock added to White House nuclear launch button"

Childproof lock added to White House nuclear launch button

International concerns have been heightened in recent days following comments made on social media by the incoming President, and senior members of the US military confirmed they’ve moved to reduce tensions by fitting a cap to the red button which requires two arrows to be lined up and squeezed before it will come off.

The move has already been hailed as the greatest contribution to world peace since the SALT II arms reduction treaty in 1979.

An extra layer of security has been added by making the nuclear launch code the same as the President-elect’s tax code, which he has thus far proven incapable of remembering.

“We considered putting a really big lock on the button because he wouldn’t be able to use his tiny, tiny hands on it”, said four-star general Simon Williams.

The "all time record" Inauguration attendance Trump wants projected at 1/2 of Obama 2009

WASHINGTON — In a tweet a week ago, Donald Trump urged his fans to head to Washington to see him get sworn in on Jan. 20.

"Let's set the all time record!" tweeted the president-elect.

But planners who are gearing up for the big day predict that Trump will fall way short of his goal: They're estimating a crowd of roughly 800,000, fewer than half the 1.8 million people who attended President Barack Obama's first inauguration in 2009.

"It's not even close to a record," said Jim Bendat, a California expert on presidential inauguration history, who wrote a book on the subject.

Trump spokesman Jason Miller not taking White House job

Source: CNN

Palm Beach, Florida (CNN)Jason Miller, President-elect Donald Trump's spokesman, has decided he will not take the job of White House communications director he was tapped for just two days earlier.

Citing family reasons, Miller announced he will not continue on to the White House and will hand off his responsibilities as communications director to Sean Spicer, the Republican National Committee communications director who was announced this week as the incoming White House press secretary -- a position he will also retain.

"After spending this past week with my family, the most amount of time I have been able to spend with them since March 2015, it is clear they need to be my top priority right now and this is not the right time to start a new job as demanding as White House Communications Director," Miller said in a statement he provided to CNN, adding that he is also expecting the birth of his second daughter next month.

"I look forward to continuing to support the President-elect from the outside after my work on the Transition concludes," Miller said, before adding that Spicer will serve in the communications director role at the White House.
