This is a hypothetical choice where SCOTUS allows each state to determine who is qualified to be on its ballot but makes no determination on qualification to hold the office. So he is on some ballots but not others.

The GOP then places a "Bernie Sanders" like candidate on their ballots in blue states that have removed trump, or arrange some equally appealing third party candidate to appear on the ballot.

Stinky isn't on the ballot. Nobody is under national pressure to vote (unless they they think, which is hard). Turnout will be hard.
