(116,417 posts)to train her, or hire someone who could, or find a more appropriate home for her; instead, she coldly discarded a healthy, sentient creature as if she were nothing more than a malfunctioning machine. And then she actually bragged about it instead of being ashamed, as she should have been; she thought it would add to her MAGA creds as being someone who had the "courage" to do something difficult and unpleasant because it "had to be done." Except that it didn't have to be done. It was just easier for her; she never considered the dog to be a thinking, feeling being, just something to be thrown away for not functioning the way she wanted and causing inconvenience. We normal people consider euthanizing a beloved pet who has become old or sick an incredibly painful experience that is reluctantly done out of mercy, and find the idea of killing a healthy young dog just for not responding to (probably incompetent) training absolutely appalling. But Noem thinks it's a sign of strength. There's a special place in Hell...
