So it probably won't be the last. But one thing that is important is which polarity the IMF, or Interplanetary Magnetic Field, is. The reason we had such extensive auroras is because the polarity was southward. That causes cracks in the magnetic field of Earth, and that in turn increases solar energy on Earth.
