In reply to the discussion: Keith Ellison: [View all]NurseJackie
(42,862 posts)112. You're changing the subject and muddying the waters, Ken.
I supported Hillary in the fall.
Aw, gee. That's nice. But who said you didn't? In fact, who said anything about Hillary at all? Not me. (Perhaps it was you?) I thought we were talking about the DNC chair election. That is what we're talking about, right?
That proves I'm not in league with Ms. Sarandon.
Good grief, Ken. Who said anything about you being "in league" with anyone? Not me. (Perhaps it was you?) Look at you! Always trying to change the subject!
Now I know that you're easily offended when people are blunt with you. But sometimes, the truth hurts and you'll just have to accept it for what it is. Telling you the truth isn't "talking down" to you. Being blunt is not "disrespecting" you. You'll just have to face the fact that Sarandon's support of Keith sullied him. Yes, It did. There are no two ways about it. There's just not a "nice" way to say it. She amplified the distrust that had already been created by other non-party members who wanted Keith's victory to be some sort of proxy victory for party control.
I'm not tainted by her and I'm not birds of a feather with her.
Perhaps not you personally, but there are other she has caused damage in other ways. People are judged by the company they keep, by the politicians they support, and even by the (so-called) celebs who support those politicians.
Politicians are always "disavowing" support from embarrassing "celebs" or other notorious characters. Why? Because it ruins their reputation and calls their character into question. It's the same with the Sarandon Effect. The damage has been done. Sigh. What can ya do? Oh well. Just learn a lesson an move on.
Not everything is about you personally, Ken. The faux outrage at every little thing is tiresome. Quit inventing trouble where none exists, and you'll likely be a happier person.
So... anyway... now that that's cleared up. Do you care to apologize for insinuating that Perez has no principles or that he's compromised his principles? (Or did you think I'd forgotten?)
Be like Keith, Ken ... be like Keith.
Go, Democrats!

But there seems to be a few trying really hard to keep up the schtick here on DU.
