The notion that angels have wings is pretty widely known in the Western world, even among atheists, and the image of God as an old white guy with white robes and a flowing beard is also pretty widely known in the Western world.

On Edit: the joke is that even God can't easily keep up with Chuck or match his genius on the guitar. Notice God's sweat. But since Chuck is so great, God is loving the chance to get lessons from Chuck. (See God's delighted grin, even as he sweats.)
