Time to move on, and use the ACA provision for states to set up single payer healthcare [View all]

Yesterday, we celebrated a great victory against the Republicans trying to repeal the ACA, and give a huge tax break to the 1%

However, I am sure the Republicans won't give up that easily...besides, one of the reasons why the insurance companies were leaving the exchanges (one of the main complaints against the ACA) is explained in this article:
https://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/10/us/politics/marco-rubio-obamacare-affordable-care-act.html
There is no reason why the Republicans won't continue to sabotage the ACA, in ways that are not necessarily advertised...thus, Trump's prediction of "letting it explode" might come true.

This is why we need to:
a) publicize the reason why the insurance companies either raised their premiums or left the exchanges by dismantling the risk corridor payments
b) because the ACA is here to stay, at least for a while, take advantage of the provision that allows states to set up single payer, and go for it. I think Bernie tried it in Vermont, but the population is not high enough to get it to work right now.
But it could happen in California...
The time is now, to treat healthcare as a right as it is in most countries (even though everywhere the oligarch always try to go to privatization. Healthcare for profit is never a solution)

If one state does it successfully, then other states will follow, as it happened in Canada...keep on fighting!!!
