In reply to the discussion: Twitter Update on Lawrence O'Donnell [View all]Shannon1981
(51 posts)90. I am so glad, hope they come to their senses and keep him.
I actually wrote them an open letter on the progressive blog network I work for, emailed Phil Griffin and NBC Universal, and called NBC Universal and Comcast.
Personally, I think Andy Lack is at the bottom of all of this. When he returned in 2015 is when they started to slowly but surely lurch to the right. That's what got us 3 hours of Joe Scarborough, got us supposed "straight news" all day instead of shows like The Reid Report, Now With Alex Wagner, Ronan Farrow Daily, The Cycle, etc. It's what got us Nicolle Wallace at 4, Chuck Todd at 5, Greta Van Susteren at 6, and got Joy Reid and Al Sharpton shuttled to weekends while right-wingers got plum primetime slots.
Hopefully our pressure did something.

MSNBC needs to keep LOD. They really should not want to be on the wrong side of history.
