Is it okay to network, while at a funeral home. [View all]

Okay, I'm going to my old neighborhood tonight to pay my respects to a man who was my basketball coach. He also contributed in many other ways to the community. He asked my advice about his oldest son and his career choices many years ago. I've known the man for over 40 years.

I will see many old acquaintances, many who are employed, self-employed and retired. I know the conversation will come around to what I'm doing. The answer to that question is, "I'm unemployed". Anything wrong with giving someone my card & information if they ask for it?

No, absolutely not. It's crass.
