Please help settle this debate regarding candy corn. [View all]

What holiday is candy corn more appropriate? I say Thanksgiving, citing the fact that it's corn shaped. My daughter says Halloween, citing when it arrives in stores, and its usefulness as faux vampire teeth. What say you, DU?
