I think supranational organizations have a necessary place in modern society, but they derive their power from the consent of the governed in the same ways that a democratic nation does, and so there needs to be a lot more transparency and accountability, and better governance too. Just like here. Or things will continue to decay. The plutocrats need to wake up and smell the coffee.

But I do see your point. Bernie doing Sampson in the Temple here on the Democratic Party would be analogous, satisfying for a short while, but not likely to improve the situation much.

We do have real, global issues to address, and we better too.
