I'm trying to paint you as someone who stereotypes others based on your own prejudices without actually knowing anything about those places or those people. I don't think you actually have traveled abroad.

Only in the NRA bubble is having travelled and lived outside the US considered a negative thing. You should poke your head out from time to time, and join the reality based community.
Only in the rants of some dim witted politicians. Everyone I meet in the "NRA bubble" find it cool that I lived abroad. My son is in the "NRA bubble" and loves Montreal. He was freaking that he wouldn't get his passport renewed in time to go to Kineticfest.
One thing about using "reality based community" as a advertising slogan. It brings up a red flag, like Fox's "fair and balanced" or "Democratic Republic of North Korea." If you have to use it to sell, it's not true.

As for the other question, I'm sure that "LabourUnderground" would be plenty welcoming right up until you started posting right-wing talking points and links to WashingtonTimes articles and pseudoscience from gun blogs. You can't really expect progressives to simply swallow right-wing political views, regardless of what country it is.
What gun blogs? What talking points. Chanting "talking points" is not a rebuttal.
