Gingrich and Santorum were talking about one of them dropping out and endorsing the other with the one that dropped out being picked for VP. but they could not agree to which one will be the Pres candidate and which one vp candidate.
everyone will say why they feel their candidate will have the best chance of winning. but people still end up voting based on who they like . the democrats who won had enthusiastic support. Bradley was no competition to Gore. for all the criticism of Gore as being stiff, boring etc, that's far more true of Bradley. Kerry's crowds were getting larger as we got closer to voting and he did a lot of door to door type campaigning. Hillary was just a far better candidate than SAnders and had earned support among the democratic base over the years. she got huge crowds even after the election during things like the book signings.
